JFK ASSASSINATION
John F. Kennedy’s assassination was a brutal and deadly
assassination. In the articles, Kennedy’s Assassination by Eric Severed and For
Me, It was a Dramatic Day by Pierre Salinger they both wrote articles on the
event of John F. Kennedy’s assassination.
John F. Kennedy was shot to death by an assassin on November 22, 19 63 as he rode
through the streets of Dallas Texas. Every American president elected in a year
ending in “0”
had died while in office. These presidents and the years of election were
Harrison, Abraham Lincoln, James A. Garfield, William McKinley, and Franklin D.
Roosevelt. Only one president was Ronald Reagan, who was elected in 1980. John
F. Kennedy death was all over the television and the radios. The entire news
reporter was talking about this.
Vice president
Johnson raced to the Hospital and remained until Kennedy died. Then, he went to
the airport where the presidential plane waited. The death of John F Kennedy
shocked the whole world. Kennedy’s body arrived later. Throughout the day and
night, hundreds of thousands of people filed past the guarded casket.
Representative from 90 countries attended the funeral on November 25. Kennedy
was buried with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery across the
Potomac River.
Other public buildings and geographical sites throughout the
world were named for President Kennedy. Congress voted funds for the John f
Kennedy Center for the performing Arts in Washington, D.C Great Britain made
one acre of ground permanent United States territory as part of a Kennedy
memorial at Runnymede. That was the primary source. That source had all the
information in it. The person did their research on John F Kennedy. He knew
most of the information and what actually happen when he got assassinated. If
you needed to know what happen read this article the primary source is first
person. It seems like the person was actually there. The author was Pierre
Salinger. Pierre said” For me, it was a dramatic day. I had left the white
house on November 19.” they stopped in Honolulu for three days for an important
meeting on the Vietnam crysis. Early In the morning of November 22, the white
house plane headed for Tokyo. He was
in the back of the plane reading the economic papers when
suddenly somebody came and told me the six cabinet secretaries had to see me.
They were in the office in the front of the plane. When I walked in, it was
grim. They handed me wire bulletin saying Kennedy had been shot. The plane
turned around and headed back to Honolulu, and i was instructed to take over
the communications system to the white house and find out what had happen. When
I connected with the white house, there was total confusion. for many minutes
nothing was coming through clearly. About a half hour after the plane had
turned around, i heard in my ear:: “Wayside. Standby.” Wayside was his code
name. About every thirty seconds for the next five minutes, i heard the same
thing.
both of the articles had pretty much had the same thing
written on it. but one more had more subject matter than the other. the second
article was more particular than the other. the first article that had more
information seemed like that got their information from the police or even
maybe the internet. They had more facts. The first article was more reliable. If
you really want to find out what happen you should read this article because it
has more personal stuff people opinions on how
felt but when some people didn't really care that john f Kennedy had
gotten assassinated like me.
i
believe that the government knew who assassinated
john f Kennedy but what i believe nobody cares anymore it’s all in the past
people need to get over it and move on. The government didn't want john f Kennedy
to be president anymore so they BOOM shot him!!! Right in the head!!!!! I
wonder why they assassinated. i wonder what did john f Kennedy do to make
people want to kill him? Was he a good president or a vicious one? i think he
was a good president even though i wasn't alive to see him or anything but what
i learned in school he was a ok president not the best but he was up there
